Become part of a community that stands with survivors. Your time, your voice, and your compassion change lives in the Rio Grande Valley.
Our volunteers are concerned about the effects of domestic violence and sexual assault on our community — and want to become mentors and role models for adults and children whose lives have been touched by violence. All men, women, and teenagers 14 and up are encouraged to volunteer.
There are many ways to help — find the one that matches your time, skills, and heart.
Answer our 24-hour crisis hotline. Listen, support, and connect callers with services. Training provided.
Accompany survivors of sexual assault to the hospital. Be a calm, supportive presence during a difficult time.
Help with day-to-day support for shelter residents — meals, childcare, activities, and a friendly face.
Help us deliver awareness presentations at schools, churches, and community groups across the RGV.
Help plan and run events like our Annual Brunch, awareness walks, and fundraisers throughout the year.
Office support, data entry, mailings, and clerical work — every hour helps us serve more people.

Training schedules are released each quarter. Reach out to learn about the next session in Harlingen or Raymondville.
Ask About TrainingAnyone 14 or older with a heart for this work is welcome. Some roles (like direct hotline or hospital work) require being 18+ and completing training. Other roles — events, outreach, administrative help — are open right away.
Bilingual volunteers especially welcome. Spanish speakers help us reach more of our community.
