The Family Crisis Center, Inc. provides free and confidential services to victims of family violence, and adult and child victims of stranger and non-stranger sexual assault. We serve Northern Cameron County and all of Willacy County.
You don’t need an appointment. You can walk in during office hours, or call our 24-hour hotline any time, day or night. You will be believed, you will be listened to, and you will be supported.

If you need to leave a dangerous situation and don’t have a way out, we can help with safe transportation to shelter or another safe place.
One-on-one counseling and peer support groups for adults and children affected by domestic violence or sexual assault. Healing happens at your own pace.
Support through every step of the legal process — law enforcement interviews, protective orders, and court accompaniment. We help you understand your rights and feel less alone in the room.
We deliver prevention and awareness programs to schools (elementary through college), churches, civic organizations, and professional groups. Our goal is a Rio Grande Valley where this work is no longer needed. Available in English and Spanish.
